Oval Unheated Cornflower Blue Sapphire Ring
This exquisite cornflower blue sapphire ring has been elegantly crafted with the centre sapphire of 5 carats flanked with the purest of diamonds in a timelessly designed ring.
“Cornflower Blue” is a word that refers to the most desirable colour of blue sapphires; sometimes also described as the “Kashmir Blue”. Typical to this sapphire is the presence of very fine minute particles which creates an internal sheen to the stone, resulting in a velvety appearance.
This gem has one of the best saturation of colours, medium dark blue with a tint of violet, a true representation of the cornflower.
Brazilian Paraiba Ring
One of the finest gems that crossed our hands was this 10 carat Brazilian Paraiba with the most splendid and coveted of colours; a vivid turquoise akin to a “swimming-pool blue”. This gem scintillates a spectacular ‘fire’ and glows intensely even when there is very little light, a phenomena often referred to as ‘electric’ or ‘neon’. The aura of this treasure from Nature is both fresh and spirited at the same time.
Paraiba tourmalines are usually small, since the beautiful cupriferous tourmaline crystals from the ‘noble hill’ in Paraiba were mostly fragments when discovered. Larger raw stones with a weight of over 5 grammes which had not cracked were rare, and only very few crystals had a weight exceeding 20 grammes (4 carats).
This beautiful ring boasts a classic setting of carefully selected top quality diamonds befitting of this esteemed gem.
This magnificent translucent green cabochon Imperial Jadeite ring, set with white diamonds is a prized collectible to be revered. The Chinese refer to jadeite as “yu”, meaning “heavenly” or “Imperial”, thus making this stone the Imperial gem in the Chinese culture.
